I needed a way to have USB ports in the rear of my car for charging devices, the best way to handle this was to add a dual USB 3.0 port in the back. Since my power inverter is installed in the rear, it was easy to plug in a dual USB 3.0 wall charger into the inverter and run the USB cables to the wall charger.
One thing I didn’t plan for was that the location I wanted the USB port to go(on the passenger side), was too far away from the outlets on the power inverter. I ended up moving the power inverter power switch from the driver side to the passenger side and installing the USB ports on the driver’s side. A little more work than I expected but it turned out nice!
