July 2023 UPDATE: Have a look at close to 600bs loaded on the 2″ Prius Trailer Hitch.
After installing the 2″ Toyota Prius Hitch from PriusOverlanding.com I am finally able to upgrade my rear cargo box on my Toyota Prius, my original setup lasted and was good but I needed more storage space.
The UWS EC20261 48-Inch Heavy-Wall Aluminum Cargo Carrier Box and UWS UWSCARRIER Hitch Receiver are the perfect combinations!
I will say, the price seems large compared to others on the market but, combined empty the box and rack weigh 55lbs. Another winning factor, it’s the largest locking box I could find. Nothing from Home Depot or anywhere has the inside storage dimensions as large as this box. If you find one that is lighter in weight, please send it my way!
