My recommendation for Brakes on a 2001-2003 Toyota Prius

Keep in mind, there are certain things I only replace with OEM, like a water pump.

I have a similar set on my 2013 Plug-in Prius and ordered a set of these 2004-2009 Toyota Prius PowerSport Front Silver Zinc Cross-Drilled Slotted Brake Rotors Kit + Ceramic Brake Pads for my daughter’s car.

Some will say, “the Prius brakes last forever” or ” Only replace with OEM”… well my take is this. If I can replace a relatively easy-to-change part such as brakes, not like a thermostat, I would rather install parts that or in my mind “better performing than OEM”. These brakes will be a night and day difference in your stopping power compared to OEM. If I can just find stainless steel brake lines, I would be happy!
