Well, I finally made the change over from using a battery isolator and the system is running 100% better!
Now, the below image is how my 12V system is currently set up using a Victron Cyrix-ct 12/24V-120A which is a battery combiner with a smart shunt versus a battery isolator.
When it comes to enhancing the electrical capabilities of my Prius, I’ve always been on the lookout for innovative solutions that offer both reliability and performance. The Victron Cyrix-CT automatically connects batteries in parallel when one of them has reached a pre-set voltage, indicating that it is being charged. It then disconnects them when the voltage drops below float level, preventing unnecessary battery drain. Integrating the Victron Cyrix-CT with My Battery Monitor and Smart Shunt
To take full advantage of my new setup, I integrated the Victron Cyrix-CT with my existing battery monitor and smart shunt.
