About Me

Welcome to my corner of the internet, where I, The Black Jimmy Neutron—or just Jimmy to most—share my journey, insights, and projects. This isn’t a typical DIY or instructional site. Instead, it’s a space where I blog about the things I’ve done, offering a glimpse into the world of possibilities when you think creatively and push boundaries.

Over the years, I’ve taken on a variety of projects, from custom modifications on Prius vehicles to experimenting with cutting-edge tech. Each post here is a reflection of what I’ve accomplished, meant not as a guide but as a seed of inspiration for you to cultivate. My aim is to show you what’s possible, not to provide a step-by-step manual.

I often get asked, “Where are the instructions? Why don’t you tell me exactly how to do it?” The answer is simple: I want to encourage you to explore, learn, and create your own path. This blog isn’t about following directions; it’s about sparking ideas and seeing where your curiosity takes you.

So, dive into my posts, explore the projects, and let them inspire your own adventures. Whether you’re into cars, tech, or just making things better, I hope you’ll find something here that gets your gears turning.

Happy exploring!

Why I Write About Prius Builds This Way

I write from hands-on testing, failed attempts, repaired parts, CAD experiments, electrical upgrades, and real Prius projects I have actually worked through. The point of this site is not to pretend every project is a perfect instruction manual. It is to show the measurements, photos, lessons, and proof-of-work behind the ideas so other Prius owners can make better decisions.

My strongest areas are Prius modifications, hybrid diagnostics, lighting experiments, camping and overlanding setups, battery research, roof rack ideas, trailer hitch use, and practical repair notes. When a post involves safety, braking, wiring, batteries, lifting, towing, or lighting, treat it as project documentation and do your own final verification before copying anything on your car.

The goal is simple: document what I tried, explain what worked, call out what did not, and keep building better Prius resources from real experience instead of generic advice.
