They were pleasant to work with and did the Install pretty quick to be honest. The Alignment took as long as it did to install the Lift Kit AND Cat Security combined.
1 Review on “Boulder Hybrids”
Got my 2014 Serviced today and wanted to share my experience for those who are interested. I had Boulder Hybrids Repair Shop Install the Prius Off Road 1.5″ Lift Kit, the Cat Security theft deterrent plate, Alignment, Oil change & Multi-Point Inspection. Granted I only have 55K Miles on my 2014 (up from 47K when I bought it in 2018). Here are some pricing info for MY 2014 Prius (may be different for your specific application/vehicle):
Lift Kit Install: $256
Cat Security Install: $128
I found no noticeable difference in Fuel Economy after the Lift Kit was installed (still have Stock Tires). My drive was ~100 miles. Took me 1 hour 50 minutes with no traffic/rain on the way there and over 3 hours with stupid traffic and heavy rain on the way home.
Trip up (via dash display, yes I know it’s not 100% accurate): 62.9 MPG
Trip home (via dash display): 62.7 MPG
Yes, I drive like a Grandpa.
I spoke with one of the guys in the Shop for a bit and he said Gen II Prius’s Catalytic Converters are being stolen the most, at least in Colorado. Followed by the Gen III. He also said nobody that he’s installed the Cat Security on their Prius has had their Catalytic Converter stolen since. Does that mean it’s 100% effective, nope, but anything that makes it harder for thieves is worth it to me. I also have no additional noise/rattle like a few have noticed with theirs.
