It took me a while to find a router or router board that performs the way I need it to while out traveling.

The Banana Pi R3 only comes with a power outlet adapter. This means the antenna and everything else needed for a fully functional router you need to purchase separately. They are the items that I have purchased so far.

Next up will be a Wifi 6 module and a 4G LTE module.

Omnidirectional Small WiFi Mini RP SMA Antenna

IPX/UFL to RP-SMA Female Extension Cord

Noctua NF-A4x10 PWM, Premium Quiet Fan, 4-Pin (40x10mm, Brown)

Mini Heatsink SQXBK 20PCS Small Black Anodized Aluminum Heat Sink with Thermal Conductive Adhesive Glue

chenyang CY 50cm 9Pin 10Pin Motherboard Female Header to Dual USB 2.0 Adapter Cable

USB to 9v, 5v to 12v Step Up, DROK USB Cable DC 5V Boost to 9V 12V Voltage Converter 1A Step-up Volt Transformer Power Regulator Line with LED Display

EDIT: Don’t use this adapter, at full load transferring files over wifi, it does not supply enough power for the R3. Now I am using a Ryobi 18V battery and a step-down to 12v converter to power the device by battery.
