If you’ve ever tackled a major upgrade on a 2009 Toyota Prius with JBL, then you know the struggle of dealing with its intricate wiring. I recently embarked on a Tesla screen conversion, and while I managed to find a harness that includes all the necessary connectors to remove the MFD and radio, I ran into a mystery—two connectors that aren’t accounted for on the harness!

The Missing Connectors

I’ve attached an image showing the two connectors in question:

  • One is a blue connector with multiple pins.
  • The other is a white connector with a similar pin layout.

These are the only two connectors left unplugged, and I haven’t had the chance to research their function. My hope is that someone in the Prius community can help identify them and let me know whether they are crucial to the operation of the Tesla screen conversion.

Why This Matters

Since I’ve successfully mapped out the other necessary connections, knowing what these remaining connectors do will help ensure that I don’t lose functionality. Whether they’re for steering wheel controls, the factory amp, or another essential system, getting clarity will make this install seamless.
