After the success of the Gen 3 push-button interior kit, I am happy to say the Gen 4 kit is available!
This plug-in to OEM hatch switch connecter harness allows you to have a push button that works like the push button on the outside of the hatch. Does not include a plastic inner hatch panel piece.
When sleeping in the back of the Prius, the key element missing is a way to open a closed hatch from the inside.
To install, remove the inner plastic trim on the vehicle, and unplug the connector from the OE switch. Plug in the new harness to OE switch and OE switch connector.
Drill a hole in the hatch plastic inner panel that’s removable in the center of the rear interior hatch. Install the switch and re-install the inside hatch plastic trim panels.
